eBay is one of the well established online shopping platforms that has been successful in improving itself as a resonating name among the others. eBay has a very easy seller registration process and offers one of the best shipping options. Ebay has established itself as one of the most successful multi sided platforms that connect the buyers and sellers without any ownership of the sold products. The working process of these sites is beneficial for both the seller and site owing to low cost running. eBay is more seller oriented than most online platforms. Ebay does not store the products sold through their website and thus integrating our inventory with eBay can ease the seller processes for us.
ebay connector
Under sales modules of the Odoo app store, amazon and eBay connectors will be available. The amazon connector will import the amazon orders and sync deliveries. The eBay connector would make it possible to publish the products from our inventory on eBay. We can install the eBay connector from this and look at the configuration process.
Configuring eBay
Once the connector has been installed, from the developer portal, we have to create a developer account. This would allow us to generate tokens. After this has been done, we can create sandbox keys and production keys. The generated values ??and tokens will be useful to integrate the sales module with eBay.
Once the account set up is done, open the sales module and go to configuration. As we scroll down, we will be able to find the eBay settings. Here we can fill the various fields given and save the changes.
This would integrate the eBay connector with the sales.
Add storage location
After the account token has been saved, we can add the storage location of the products. The Add other countries link can be used to add more countries in the storage location. The link would direct us to the list of countries and we can enable use on eBay in the country list.
Once enabled the list of countries will be updated and we can choose them from the list of countries in the storage location.
ebay options
The eBay option has the fields to change the website for product display. We can also modify the currency. We can create and add currencies to the list with Activate other currencies link.
We can additionally enable Out of Stock and Gallery Plus in the settings. We can also sync the eBay data with our module.
Assign sales team
We can also assign a sales team for the eBay sales in the configuration. We can select from the list of sales teams and edit the details of the sales team if necessary. We can add a team leader, invoicing target, and the team members. To add more sales teams , we can do so from the sales teams option from the configuration menu.
Product Configuration
We can create products from the sales module or from the inventory module and sell, rent or purchase them depending on the options available. Once we open the product's dashboard from the Sales module or the Inventory module, the list of all products we have created will be displayed. We can edit the existing product by selecting the concerned product or create a new one as required.
The details of the product can be entered and we can choose from the options to sell the product on eBay.
Listing on ebay
Enabling Sell on eBay would add the eBay tab to product configuration. We can fill in the product details for publishing on eBay. The product can opt for auction or a fixed-price sales.
We can modify the shipping, return, and payment policies for the product and once the configuration is done we can list the item on eBay.
For linking with existing listings, we can add the eBay listing ID in the field and save the update.
After the configuration of the product and eBay connector is done the listed products will be published for sale on eBay. We can also install the amazon connector to sync our product sales with amazon.
