A product in the Odoo inventory can have multiple routes of operation such as for sales, purchase or even rental and repair operations. Lots and serial numbers

In Odoo the products are defined based on the serial numbers for singular products and in lot numbers for the products arriving in groups. By providing the lot and serial numbers to each product the user can define the operation of how the products should be removed from the stock based on the company operation methodologies and the type of product. The Odoo by default provides the users with two options of removal ie First in first out (FIFO) and Last in first out (LIFO). They can be customized based on the product category being consumable ones or storage ones.
