Users of Odoo 17 can keep an eye on staff attendance marking and evaluate reports thanks to an efficient attendance management system. These days, keeping track of attendance is an essential need for any company. Odoo assists the HR and HR department with an employee attendance tracking solution. One way to find out when employees arrive and depart from a company is to use an attendance management system. Paying employees based on their work hours, and attendance is made simple by the Odoo 17 Attendance module.
As seen in the screenshot below, the Odoo 17 employee check-in feature may now be used from outside the app. There is a clear representation of the check-in time. An employee can then use the Check Out button to complete their checkout. The Systray Check-In and Check-Out feature was included with Odoo 17.
This is how the dashboard appears to the user. The view can be set up based on Day, Month, or Year. Use the two positioned arrows to view the previous and next Day, Month, or Year. The Filter, Group, and Favourite buttons are situated underneath the search bar on the dashboard.
The dashboard itself provides easy access to information about employee attendance, including logged-in time, working hours, total working hours, break time, and overtime.
The previous seven days, check-in, errors, team, and my attendance can all be used to filter the attendance. By applying the filter Errors, the user may easily find and confirm the attendance errors. Grouping by attendance based on employee check-in and check-out is feasible. Additionally, there are group-by and custom filter options in the list view.
When an attendance is opened, the employee's information is shown, which includes name, worked hours, extra hours, and check-in and check-out timings. additional check-in data, including the GPS coordinates, browser, IP address, check-in mode, and localization. When users choose View on Maps, they are taken to another map page where they can easily find the precise locations of the staff members.
Kiosk Mode
You may establish a new kind of connection with your business with Odoo17's kiosk mode. By selecting the Kiosk Mode option in the Attendance module, you can access this method.
You select the kiosk mode, and then you get a new page. Options like TAP TO SCAN and Identify manually are visible. Scanning your badges is made easy using the TAP TO SCAN button. You can manually identify the employee after choosing Identify Manually.
Barcode integration helps the Odoo17 system in all phases of business operations. A barcode can be added to the employee ID card that is used to access and exit the platform. An employee can use the reader to scan the barcode after logging into the window. The Employee window allows you to set the employee barcode. For example, select your employee in Odoo 17's Employees module. By choosing the HR Settings tab, the user can go to the Badge ID option on the displayed page.
To have the Badge ID created automatically, click the Generate button in the Badge ID field. Consequently, the automatically generated Badge ID appears in the Badge ID field. Select Print Badge to get the employee badge information later.
Your system prints the badge ID when you select "Print Badge." As a result, we can provide badge IDs to every employee in an organization.
In a similar vein, we might provide a PIN to every worker at a corporation. You must activate the Employee PIN option by navigating to the Configuration > Settings box in the Attendance module. It ensures that you must enter a PIN to access your employee profile. Click the "Save" button in the Settings after activation.
You can assign a unique PIN to every employee in Odoo 17 after you've input their data. There's a PIN Code option under the HR tab of the Employees pane.
Once you create a pin action, Odoo17 gives an option to enter the pin code when an employee wants to log onto the platform. Now let's examine the operation of the Identify Manually option in Kiosk mode. Users can view the list of workers by choosing the Identify Manually option. You can use the grouping and filtering tools and choose the relevant employee names. You can choose the exact employee you're looking for from the Employees window.
To check-in, the system displays the employee profile in kiosk mode once you enter your PIN and select your employee record. You may log in and start working as soon as you've added the PIN.
then, as seen in the screenshot below, a window displays a welcome message.
Employees can record their attendance in Odoo17 Attendance by using their PIN and manually enabled badges through Kiosk Mode.
CONFIGURATION
Few configurations are needed in the Attendances application. Determining how employees check in and out, defining how the kiosks function, and determining how extra hours are computed are all set in the Configuration menu. Navigate to the Attendances application ? Configuration to access the configuration menu.
Users can recognize each program as soon as they view the Kiosk Settings area. Under the Barcode Source option, you can discuss the camera that was used to scan the barcodes. You can choose how long a greeting message will play in seconds using the Display Time option. An employee can use PIN codes to sign in to work after activating the Employee PIN field. After inputting all of the check-in and check-out information in kiosk mode, click the SAVE icon.
Participation accesses your kiosk mode on any device by using the URL given in the Attendance Kiosk Url section. Note that anyone can visit your kiosk if they have an internet connection. If it has been compromised, you can create a fresh address by refreshing it.
Attendances from Backend: Turn on the option "Attendances from Backend" to let users check-in and out straight from the Odoo database. Users have to check in and out of work using a kiosk if this isn't enabled.
Display Time: The display time option in the settings allows you to select the duration for which the welcome message will appear.
Extra Hours
The next step is to manage the extra hours that have been established in the Odoo 17 Attendance module. To assist with counting attendance, you may find the Count Extra Hours option under the Extra Hours section. You can select the start date and compare attendance based on employee work hours by activating the Count Extra Hours option. Under the Extra Hours option, you can establish a tolerance time that is advantageous to the employer and the employee. Within the Tolerance Time in the Company's Favour, you can expeditiously grant the company-specific working hours. You should also enter the time that supports an employee and from which extra time is not deducted in the Tolerance Time in Favour of Employee column.
An employee's extra hours will be displayed in kiosk mode and on their user profile if they select the "Display Extra Hours" option. Click the SAVE button in the Settings
Window. So, that you will get the extra hours, as in the screenshot below under the kiosk mode.
REPORTING
Users have the option to create weekly, monthly, or annual employee attendance reports. To access attendance analysis reports, choose the Reports tab in Odoo 17 Attendance. The graph of the Attendance Analysis window shows the count on the Y-axis and the employee check-in data on the X-axis. Users can see the check-in details for each employee in a range of colors on the graphical representation. By choosing the MEASURES icon, we can include particular data in the graph, such as employee overtime and the total number of hours worked.
The pivot table that shows the total number of hours worked by each employee individually can be viewed by the user in the pivot view. Based on each month, the user can ascertain a worker's actual working hours within the company.
The Odoo 17 Attendance module facilitates the management of employees' actual working hours inside an organization. Reports can help an organization prepare for the future and gain a better understanding of the capabilities of its workforce.
