Odoo has built a good platform to manage and do the maintenance of equipment. Here we can define maintenance teams, equipment’s, equipment categories, and also the maintenance stages.
How to Manage Equipment in Odoo
First of all, we have to install the maintenance plugin from the Odoo apps. This will create a new menu named maintenance.
Under maintenance > configurations, you can define new teams, Equipment Categories, and also maintenance stages.
Maintenance Dashboard:
A dashboard displays info according to the maintenance team-wise.
From here you can get more details about the equipment hold by each team and their status.
From Equipment’s menu you can create new equipment:
This is an equipment dashboard. From here you can easily understand the equipment maintenance request.
Form view of the equipment shows more details.
From here you can define more details about the equipment including the product information, maintenance details, descriptions, and so on.
Using the menu Maintenance > maintenance Requests you can create a new request to maintain any equipment.
The flow of maintenance is gone through in progress, Repaired, Scrap.
Configurations
Under Equipments > configurations you can see three menus. To configure maintenance teams, Equipment categories, and maintenance stages.
Maintenance Team
Only you have to provide the name of the team. So while requesting new maintenance you can select the proper team in that form.
Equipment Categories
From here we can create new categories of equipment and while we creating new ones we can define them also. The form view of equipment categories is categorized to view the equipment under the category of equipment and also the maintenance requests under the category.
This can be checked using the smart buttons.
Maintenance Stages
Each maintenance request is gone through different stages and this can be configured here.
You can add or remove the stages here.
