Timesheet
Time management that works is crucial for all kinds of enterprises. Tracking and recording the amount of time staff members spend on specific tasks is essential. By monitoring task completion timings, the company may ensure that clients are billed accurately for time that can be billed. The Timesheet module in Odoo 18 is a useful time management tool that records how much time employees spend on various projects, clients, meetings, etc.
The similarity of the module overview is shown in the screenshot below. When a user opens the Timesheet module, My Timesheet will be the primary view. The timesheet date, the project, the task, the description, the sales order item, and the total number of hours worked are all included in the list view details.
Group By, Filtering, and Favorite options are available in addition to the search function. There are five different ways to bill the project timesheets under the filter options: Billed at a Fixed Price, Billed on Timesheets, Billed on Milestone, Billed Manually, and Non-Billable. The Group By options include date, project, parent task, task, sales order item, invoice, and billing type.
Date, project, parent task, task, sales order item, invoice, and billing type are among the choices for grouping tasks together. A list view is the screenshot previously mentioned. The Graph View, Pivot View, and Kanban View are some of the other views that are available in the timesheet.
Click on the New button to add a new timesheet. After that, a new line will show up beneath the list. There, enter the task name, date, and project name along with a description. After that, the hours spent can be entered in the relevant field.
Within the Timesheet module, one can view the timesheets that an employee added within the Project module. The My Timesheet menu displays every timesheet that the employee has added to the system.
Select the All Timesheet menu under the Timesheets menu to examine all of the timesheets submitted by all of the employees.
This All Timesheet page shows the date, the worker, the project, the task, the description, the sales order item, and the total number of hours worked. This includes the filter, group by, favorite, and search features. If you want to add a new timesheet, click the New button.
