In Odoo, managing sales-related operations requires a specialized team. To effectively oversee all aspects of sales, businesses can set up dedicated sales teams, which are configured within the Odoo Sales module. The setup process begins in the Configuration menu, where you can view existing sales teams and create new ones as needed. By selecting the Group By option, sales teams can be organized based on the Team Leader and Company.
To create a new sales team, click on the New button, and a new window will appear.
In this window, enter a name for the team. You can also assign a Team Leader under the Team Details section. Additionally, configure the Email Alias and Policy to facilitate communication through the mail gateway. The company's name will automatically appear in the form view. In the Invoicing Target section, you can set a monthly revenue target for the team. To complete the setup, add Members to the team using the Add button under the Members tab.
When you click the Add button, a pop-up window will appear where you can select team members. This list displays details such as name, login, language, most recent authentication, company, and status. Once you have selected the appropriate team members, the sales team is ready to begin working.
Within the Orders menu, the platform presents a Kanban view that organizes all the sales team information. This view includes details on open opportunities, overdue quotes, quotations, orders to invoice, and unassigned leads. By clicking the Sales Analysis button, you can perform a detailed analysis of the sales team's performance. Additionally, the Goal Invoice Amount for each sales team is displayed.
Each sales team tab provides three vertical dots, which can be clicked to access additional operational tools. Through these options, you can view Opportunities, Quotations, Sales Orders, and Invoices. These tools also allow for the creation of new quotes and leads under the relevant sales team. The reporting options available include Opportunities, Quotations, Sales, Invoices, and Activities.
Once the sales team is configured, you can leverage them to generate new sales orders or quotations, making the process streamlined and organized.
