The Reporting menu is a powerful tool for businesses to analyze, track, and optimize their sales operations. It offers a comprehensive view of sales data, allowing users to make informed decisions and identify trends. The ‘Reporting’ window of the Odoo 18 Point of Sale Module provides three analysis sections including Orders, Sales Details, and Session Report.
Orders Analysis
The Orders Analysis feature in Odoo 18's POS module provides powerful tools for analyzing sales data, providing insights for businesses to monitor performance, understand customer behavior, and optimize sales strategies.
The window offers rapid views in Graphical and pivot tables with filtering, and grouping options inside the advanced search bar area. The key metrics include Average Price, Margin, Order, Product Quantity, Sale Line Count, Total Discount, Count and many other options can be found under the ‘Measures’ section.
Sales Details
The Sales Details Reporting feature in Odoo 18's POS module offers businesses a comprehensive view of their sales transactions, aiding in tracking sales performance, analyzing revenue streams, and identifying customer trends. Opening this reporting section will display a pop-up window where you have to set the Start Date and End Date to get the Sales details of that particular date range as illustrated below.
After providing the date range, click on the ‘Print’ button to generate and print the report in a document format. This will open another window that displays the document layout specifics with editing facilities. Here, you can edit the document Layout, Color, Background, Text and other configurations as shown in the screenshot below.
To create the report analysis in a document, click the "Continue" button. The document will then download to your computer, where you may access it or print it off for further analysis.
By creating daily sales reports or retrieving sales statistics for a certain time period, this user-friendly and customizable interface facilitates efficient decision-making.
Session Report
The Session Report in Odoo 18's POS module provides a detailed summary of transactions and activities during a specific session, aiding cashiers, store managers, and business owners in reviewing and reconciling sales and payments.
Opening this reporting menu will display an editing field, where you have to provide a POS Session ID as illustrated in the screenshot below.
Then, press the ‘Print’ button to generate and print the sales details of this particular sales session. This action will download the sales details document in your system and you can watch the Sales Report of this Session ID as shown below.
This reporting view includes sales summary, Refunds, Discounts, Invoices, Session Controls, Taxes, Payment Methods etc for record-keeping and analysis. This report ensures accuracy and transparency in daily operations.
