The Odoo 18 Expenses module provides a comprehensive set of tools for managing and controlling business expenses, making it easier to monitor employee spending, approve expense reports, and integrate with accounting systems efficiently. The provided ‘Expense Analysis Reporting’ page outlines the costs associated with expense reports submitted to the management of a particular business for approval.
In the "Measures" section, the Expense Analysis section of the Reporting menu provides a number of metrics, including Tax Amount, Tax Amount in Currency, Total, Total in Currency, Total Untaxed Amount in Currency, and Count, as shown in the screenshot below.
In this window, we have various options to view reports in Graphical, list, Kanban, and pivot formats. Graphical views can be displayed as bar, line, or pie charts, and you can see different colors to represent various employees within the organization. For example, you can see the pivot view of the reporting as illustrated in the screenshot below.
Several sub-options, such as "My Expenses," "My Team," "To Report," "Refused," "Expense Date," "Past Employees," and many more, can be found under the "Filters" option. Next, you can use the 'Add new Filter' option to create new filter choices. Then, you can also organize costs by employee, category, status, company, and expense date using the "Group By" option. This also provides access to establish custom groups by using the "Add Custom Group" option.
