Job Positions
In Odoo 18, you can also manage and create various employment positions, similar to how you configure departments. The option to do this is available in the Configuration menu within the Employees module. Upon selecting this option, you will see a list of all open vacancies, which includes key information such as the Job Position, Department, Target, Applications, and Published.
To create a new job position, simply click the "New" button. In the creation window, you can provide details about the position, including the job title, the company, and the department the job belongs to, the job location, employment type, and the number of positions available. Additionally, you can assign a recruiter, specify interviewees for candidate selection, and include an interview form.
You can also indicate where the job position should be posted, such as on your company's website. The Application Info tab allows you to add key recruitment details, such as the number of days to receive an offer, the process types, and the time to answer. A brief job description can be added in the Job Summary section to provide further clarity about the role.
Once you're in the Job Position view, locate the Action button at the top right of the screen. Clicking on this button will open a dropdown menu, where you can select the "Add Properties" option.
After selecting this option, a window will pop up, allowing you to choose and assign specific properties to the job position.
These properties can include attributes such as job level, department, contract type, or work schedule, depending on the organization's needs. Once the desired properties are selected, confirm the changes by saving them.
This process helps to define the job position more comprehensively, ensuring it reflects the specific requirements and responsibilities tied to the role. Adding properties not only streamlines job position management but also aids in filtering and organizing positions based on key attributes, making it easier for HR teams to manage and track various job roles within the organization.
Once all the necessary information has been entered, click the Save button to finalize the job position details. This streamlined process ensures you can manage recruitment and staffing requirements efficiently.
