Mailing Lists
The Mailing Lists feature in Odoo 18 Email Marketing offers a simple and effective way to manage and send emails to individuals or groups. This option allows businesses to organize their email campaigns efficiently, whether for promotions, events, or advertisements. Creating and managing mailing lists is straightforward, and the feature is seamlessly integrated into the module's main menu bar for easy access.
When you select the Mailing Lists option, the page opens in Kanban view, providing a clear summary of all available lists. Each card in the Kanban view displays the total number of contacts in the respective mailing list.
Clicking on a specific mailing list reveals detailed information about its contacts, including metrics like bounce rate, opt-out rates, and whether the contacts are blacklisted. This page also shows the mailings sent to these contacts, helping users track their campaign performance effectively.
To create a new mailing list, simply click the New icon. You will be prompted to provide a title for the list, which serves as its identifier. Once the name is entered, you can activate the Show in Preferences option, enabling recipients to manage their subscription preferences. This feature is particularly useful for enhancing user experience, as recipients can update their preferences via the unsubscribe page.
The Import Contacts button in Odoo Email Marketing is a convenient feature that allows users to effortlessly add multiple contacts to a mailing list. By clicking this button, users can access a pop-up window where email addresses can be either typed or pasted directly.
Each email address entered on a separate line will be treated as an individual contact and imported into the selected mailing list. Once imported, these contacts will be available for email campaigns, making the creation and management of mailing lists efficient and user-friendly.
The Mailing Lists feature thus provides a robust tool for segmenting and managing email campaigns in Odoo 18, ensuring targeted communication and better audience engagement.
