Configuration

The Configuration menu allows users to set up and customize the attendance system according to their needs. Users can select a Mode and indicate their preferences for recognition by the kiosk application from the ‘Mode’ tab.

They can use the ‘Attendances From Backend’ feature to check in and out directly from the Odoo backend. Activating this feature will display a red bubble icon in the Odoo application menu. You can click on this red icon to quickly check in from the backend using the "Check in” button, as illustrated in the screenshot below.

Managers and HR administrators may manually update or rectify employee records owing to missed check-ins or technological difficulties with the use of this feature, which makes adding backend attendance data easier.

Then, the ‘Automatic Check-Out’ and ‘Absence Management’ options help to automatically check-out from the system based on the employee's working schedule and manage the absence days checked, days not covered by an attendance will be visible in the Report. If checked, days not covered by an attendance will be visible in the Report.

The ‘Barcode Source’ option allows for discussions about the camera used to scan barcodes. The ‘Display Time’ allows for the duration of greeting messages. Employees can use PIN codes for work access after activating the ‘Employee PIN Identification’ field. After inputting check-in and check-out information, click the Save icon. Participants can access the kiosk mode on any device using the URL provided in the ‘Attendance Kiosk Url’ section. If the kiosk is compromised, a fresh address can be created by refreshing it.

Employees can access the kiosk mode using any internet-enabled device by sharing the Attendance Kiosk URL. If security issues arise, a new URL will be created.

The Odoo Attendance Module allows tracking of extra hours worked by employees. To start tracking over time, enable the Count Extra Hours option in the Extra Hours Tab section and specify a start date. Set tolerance times for the company and the employee, determining whether extra time is part of regular working hours or additional time not deducted from employee work hours.

The settings, which may be confirmed by clicking the Save icon, guarantee equitable tracking and a balance of additional time for both the company and its employees.
