Currencies
Odoo17 offers its users support for many currencies so they can expand their enterprises
into global marketplaces. Using the Currencies option under Configuration,
you can set up several currencies in your system.
The panel lists all currencies that are currently supported by your system along with
information on their symbol, name, last update, current date, eBay use, status, and
active status.
Click on the New button to configure a new currency.
In the Currency area, you can enter a currency code. You can specify the Name,
Currency Unit, and Currency Subunit in the corresponding fields. By
turning on the Active button, the currency will be available for usage. Activate
the Use on eBay feature if you want to permit the use of this money on eBay. The
amounts in this currency will be rounded to the nearest multiple of the rounding factor
specified if it is noted in the Price Accuracy section. The rounding factor will decide
the decimal places. For operations on sums in this currency, it is taken into
consideration.
You can define a Symbol for the currency to use when printing quantities under the
Display section. The currency symbol's placement is determined by the Symbol
Position. It may come before or after the sum. Using the Add a Line button on the
Rates page, you can add the exchange rates for the primary currency used by your
business.
You can go to the Settings menu and set the primary currency used for business
transactions. You will find the Main Currency field in the Currencies tab, as
seen below. You can select the primary currency for your business from the list of
options here.
