Fiscal Position
You can quickly adjust the tax computation in accordance with your company's tax rules with the help of Fiscal Position in Odoo 17. Maps relating to taxes and accounts that are relevant to a country or set of countries can be created. When doing business transactions, you may utilize Odoo 17's Fiscal Position function to set up appropriate criteria that will allow the system to automatically select a country's taxes and accounts.
Navigate to the Configuration menu in the Odoo 17 Invoicing module to have access to the platform where different Fiscal Positions can be defined. The list of pre-configured fiscal positions will be displayed in the window. Using the New button, you can establish a new fiscal position from this window.
In the designated field, enter the name of the new fiscal position. In the relevant field, the Company's name will be displayed. You can use the Detect Automatically option to apply this fiscal position automatically. You can add your company's tax ID in the region that this fiscal position maps to the Foreign Tax ID box. The fiscal situation will only be applied when the delivery nation matches the country mentioned.
Using the "Add a Line" tool, select the Tax Mapping tab and provide the Tax on Product and Tax to Apply data. Odoo will map taxes using these details. Legal Notes are an option that will subsequently show up on invoices.
You can map accounts more easily by including the Account on Product and Account to Use Instead data in the Account Mapping section. This is how you may set up new fiscal positions in Odoo 17.
You can specify the domestic country of your accounting by using the Fiscal Country option found under the Taxes tab in the Module's Settings menu.
