Data Recycle Management
Data cleaning is the process of transforming or preparing data in your system by eliminating or altering undesirable, inaccurate, duplicate, unnecessary, or badly designed data. The information being described is not required for your company. Data cleaning is an essential tool for any commercial organization that wants to effectively clean its data. Depending on how effectively the data is cleansed, a project may succeed or falter.
With the help of the data cleaning module, you can easily find duplicates in any type of data, including field data, customer contact information, customer details, and many other components.
The field recycling records are displayed on the dashboard. On the dashboard, you will be able to see the Record ID and Record Name. We may validate the record by clicking the Validate button. The record can then be discarded by clicking the Discard button. The generated Recycle Rules are displayed on the left.
Recycle Records Rule
Under the Configuration menu, there is also a section dedicated to Data Recycle Rules. Based on the rules that have been put up, the data recycle rule determines which records need to be recycled. These records are then either archived or removed. Click the New button to add a new rule.
Add the rule name and choose the model that has to be recycled in order to configure recycling operations. It is necessary to select the model. Recycling can be done manually or automatically, with the option to Archive or Delete. This means data recycling can be achieved either through deleting or archiving the unwanted data. It is possible for users to be added.
Inside the Filter section users can add some rules for the recycle process.
Then, to recycle the records, select the Run Now option. The records can be view inside the smart tab Records.
By effectively managing and repurposing deleted data, Odoo's data recycling capability encourages sustainable data practices inside the system.
