Unbuild Orders
Unbuilding a product means separating the components of the product. In a manufacturing company, there may be some situations where the product is required to be unbuilt. It can also happen in the case of purchased products. In such cases, it is necessary to keep a record of such unbuild orders. We already discussed how to create an unbuild order for a manufactured product from the Manufacturing Order form view. In order to manage the Unbuild Orders separately and create Unbuild Orders for purchased products, you will get a separate platform in the Manufacturing module as shown below.
The list of already created orders with the details of the Reference, Product, Bill of Material, Manufacturing Order, Lot/Serial Number, Quantity, Unit of Measure, Source Location, Company, and Status can be obtained from the screenshot. Use the Create button to create a new unbuild order.
A new form view will appear as shown in the image above where you can specify the name of the Product, Bill of Material, and Quantity . If the product is manufactured in your company, you can mention the Manufacturing Order in the respective field. The current location of the product can be defined in the Source Location field. The location where you want to store the components of the product after completing the unbuilding can be specified in the Destination Location. The Lot/Serial Number and Company can be added in the respective fields. Click the Unbuild button after completing the unbuild operation.
Once the unbuilding of the product is completed, you can observe the stock moves of the components using the Product Moves smart button.
The details of the stock moves include the Date, Reference, Product, Lot/Serial Number, From, To, Quantity, Unit, and Status.
