Payment Acquirers
In the present world scenario, most of the transactions take place online. Odoo allows you to make payments with their customer portals or through your eCommerce websites. By offering several payment methods Odoo increases the chances of getting paid immediately and also provides the convenient methods the customers prefer. No sensitive information is stored on the Odoo servers or databases, they use a unique reference number in the payment acquirers’ system.
Adding a new payment acquirer for the customers is very easy in Odoo. Select the Payment Acquirer option from the Configuration tab. From the list of payment acquirers you can enable the related module to activate it. By selecting the ACTIVATE button, the state of the payment acquirer changes from Disabled to Enabled. While enabling you will need to define the details such as description of the acquirer for customers, the countries for which this payment acquirer is available, if none is set the payment acquirer is available for all countries and the journal in which the successful transaction is posted. You can also enable the Allow Saving Payment Method in which controls whether the customers can save their payment methods as payment tokens. A payment token is an anonymous link to the payment method details saved in the acquirers’ database, allowing the customer to reuse it for a next purchase.
Messages that need to be conveyed such as the Help Message, Pending Message, Done Message and Cancelled Message can be defined in the provided boxes situated at the Messages menu.
Odoo allows you to enable the test mode in which a fake payment is processed through a test payment interface.
