The Odoo IoT Box is a Raspberry Pi-powered device that integrates various external devices like printers and scanners with Odoo ERP. Establishing a connection between these devices and the IoT Box, either through WiFi or an Ethernet cable, is essential for ensuring a seamless workflow.
Access the IoT application from the homepage to view the available IoT Boxes within the system.
To link a new IoT box, there are two options: Ethernet or WiFi. Start by connecting all devices to the IoT box and powering it on.
For an Ethernet connection, establish a connection by entering a pairing code displayed on the screen or printed by a connected receipt printer on the IoT box.
Input the provided pairing code into the popup that appears after selecting the 'Connect' button on the IoT module dashboard.
The initial steps remain consistent for the WiFi connection. Prior to powering on the box, establish connections between the devices and the IoT box. Capture the token by clicking on the 'Connect' button.
Ensure that the computer is not connected to an Ethernet cable and is connected to the WiFi Network of the IoT box.
After the connection, we'll be directed to the IoT Box homepage. If not, simply access the IP Address of the box. Paste the token into the 'server token' field and assign a name to the IoT box for easy identification.
The newly connected IoT box will appear in the list within the IoT application.
