Shipping Methods

Odoo will allow you to define product delivery based on several shipping methods. Odoo has provided dynamic features in the website module to optimize your company's sales performance for better product delivery management. As illustrated in the figure below, the Website module's Settings menu contains a number of options to enable.

You can create a new shipment method by clicking the 'Create' button from the configuration of the website module as shown below. A new creation page will open where you can enter information about the new shipment method.

In the selected space, you can enter the name of the Shipping Method. Add the Margin on Rate to the form after selecting the Delivery Product, Company, and Website. Under the Delivery Product, enter the product that you want to deliver using this Shipping Method. The rate margin is the percentage that will be added to the shipping cost. You can choose Fixed Price or Based on Rules in the Provider area. If you choose Fixed Price, you can specify the Fixed Price on the Pricing tab.

If you choose based on the rule then a separate column will come where you can set up the rule based on certain criteria such as weight, quantity, price, volume, and weight*volume.

You can specify the place where your delivery service is available under the Destination Availability page. You can also filter the delivery carriers based on your customer's delivery address. On this page, you can specify countries, stars, zip codes, and zip codes. Odoo has an additional box for you to enter a description of the delivery method, which will be displayed on eCommerce as an online quotation.

When clients make online purchases, Odoo 16 makes it simple for them to select a delivery method. During the Odoo checkout process, it will display the shipping methods available for the selected product as shown below.

Click the Process Checkout button. Odoo will take you to the next step in the checkout process. In this area, you can enter your billing and shipping addresses. Odoo displays all accessible shipping methods when the locale is specified. Customers can select a suitable delivery method from the list provided. We may see the delivery charges on the screen based on the option we choose. Prices vary depending on the mode of delivery.After picking a comfortable payment method, we can pay the delivery charge simultaneously with the purchase bill.
