Multiple Website Management

The necessity for multi-language support in websites is becoming increasingly vital as more users from all over the world access websites. This is especially true for eCommerce sites, which must be able to provide products in the clients' local language.

Odoo provides extensive website management, including multi-language support. You can use the technology to construct multilingual websites with all content available in multiple languages.

One can set up multiple languages from the settings of the website module as shown below.

The user can also install more languages by clicking on the Install Languages option when selected will direct to a window that list outs different languages and options to activate them as needed.

Aside from this option, Odoo also allows you to add a new language from the Website's main page. To see it, go to the main page and look at the bottom side for the Language choice, which is highlighted in the screenshot below.

When you click on the choice, a pop-up window appears, as shown in the screenshot above. You can add new languages by clicking the "Add a Language" button. In Odoo the user also has the provision to translate the page based on the language selected. Upon selecting the language a window will appear which will provide the user the option to translate the content based on the language selected once the translation button is clicked a pop-up window comes which shows the option as shown below.

In which the yellow marked contents are the contents that need to be translated and the green marks are already translated.

So with translation the original text can then be replaced with the translation by clicking the block, altering its contents, and saving.
