Bill of Materials

In order to have a complete finished outcome, you have to have the bill of materials at the end of the production. The raw materials can be listed for a particular product using the bill of materials. Here are the steps of how to create a bill of materials. The options will be available under the products menu of the manufacturing module.

On the page, you will get the list of the already created bills of materials. The details include the name of the product, reference, BoM type, and name of the company, respectively. You can make use of the filters, group by, and favorites options accordingly. In order to create a similar kind of bill of materials, you can go to the NEW icon provided on the leftmost side of the page. The creation page will be as shown in the screenshot below.

On the page, you can add the name of the product, product variant from the drop-down menu, the number of the product or the quantity, reference, and BoM type, which can be set as manufacture this product, kit, or sub-contracting options accordingly. The name of the company can also be mentioned below. Now, under the components tab, you can add the components using the add an alpine option, where you can also mention the quantity and product unit of measuring as well. On activating the work orders and by-products options from the settings, you will get the operations and by-product tab on the creation page.

On the operations tab, you can add the operation, work center, duration computation, and duration using add a line option. On selecting the add a line option, you will get a new page, as shown in the screenshot below.

There, you can add the operations, work center, apply on variants, and duration, which can be set on compute based on the tracked items or set duration manually. The default duration can also be provided along with the name of the company. Under the worksheet tab, you can add the worksheet as PDF, google slide, or text accordingly. Finally, you can go to the SAVE AND CLOSE icon, and if you have to add another one, you can go to the SAVE AND NEW Oputon. Now, under the by-product option, you can add the by-products using the add a line option itself.

There, you can add them by products, quantity, units of measure, and produced in operation as well.

Finally, you have to go to the Miscellaneous tab, where you can add the manufacturing readiness as to when all components are available or when components for 1st operations are available. The option helps to provide the details of when to begin the production. Below that, under the flexible consumption, it can be set as allowed with a warning or blocked accordingly. Here, it helps you to define if the consumption can be less or more components than the amount mentioned in the bill of materials.

Finally, when you are done providing all the details, you can go to the save icon.
