Fleet Management

Introduction

Management of fleet is the mechanism of managing and regulating the commercial vehicles in a company. The module helps you in managing all the processes based on repair and all other maintenance works. With the help of Odoo ERP, you can easily manage this process effortlessly. In this module, you can keep the data based on the number of vehicles, values in the odometer, details regarding the driver, cost, amount of fuel consumed, and then show every vehicle’s status.

On selecting the Fleet Module, you will be able to see all the configured vehicle list, which include New Request, To Order, Ordered, Registered, Downgraded, Reserve, Waiting List, and so on. As in the screenshot below, you will get the Add a Column option to make new such stages for the particular vehicle.

The settings button shown in each stage will provide you with some options, such as Fold the stage to Kanban, Edit the stage, Delete, Archive, and Unarchive. Other than the Kanban view, you can see the page in List and PIvot you as well. With the help of the + icon, you can add a new vehicle too. Using the Create icon, we can easily create new vehicles.

On the creation page, you can provide the model of the vehicle and license plate number in the allotted space. Under the Driver Tab, you have to give the name of the driver and the address of the future driver. In the Assignment Date space, you have to give the vehicle availability date. The not mentioning of date refers to the instant availability of the vehicle. Under the Vehicle Menu, you can see the Chassis Number, which can be seen if the vehicle can be provided in the allotted space. In the Fleet Manager space, give the name of the allocated employee. In the Location and Company field, provide the data accordingly.

In the Tax Info Tab, you can give the Horsepower Taxation below the Fiscality option. Under the Contract option, you have to give the first contract date, the value of the vehicle in the Catalog Value, the Purchase value, and the residual value, respectively.

In the Model Tab, you can give the year of the model of the vehicle, the transmission used by the vehicle, and color of the vehicle under the Model option. Below the Engine option, you can mention the Horsepower, Power in kW, type of fuel used by the vehicle, emissions of CO2, and the CO2 standards as well.

Under the Notes Tab, you can provide an extra description about the vehicle. Finally, go to the Save icon.

On saving the details, you will be provided with some advanced features, as marked in the above image. In the Driver’s history, you will get the history of the driver. In the Contracts option, you will get the contracts made for this vehicle. In the Service option, you will get the service logs allotted for the particular vehicle, and in the Odometer, you will get the logs of the odometer of the vehicle respectively.
