Expense Categories

Under the configuration option, you will get options such as expense categories and settings options. The page of expense categories will be, as shown in the image below.

On the page of expense categories, you will get the list of categories in the expenses. You can make use of the filters, group by, and favorites options accordingly. The details under the expense categories include name, internal reference, internal notes, sales price, cost, vendor taxes, and re-invoice expenses, respectively. Now, in order to create a similar kind of expense category, you can go to the NEW icon provided on the leftmost side of the page.

On the expense categories creation page, you can add the name of the product and an image, if required, in the allotted spaces. Now, under that, in the general information tab, you can add the cost, unit of measure, internal reference, and name of the company, respectively. Now, under that, you can add you have the accounting tab, where you can include the expense account details, vendor taxes, and customer taxes. In the invoicing tab, you can set the re-invoice expenses as no, at cost, or sales price accordingly. Blow that, you are also provided with the space to add the internal notes. Now when you are done with providing all the details, you can go for the saving process.

Now, under the settings option, you have got different options, such as expenses, below which you have the sub-options like incoming email, reimbursement in payslip, and expense digitalization. Below that, you are also provided with the default journal and payment options, which help you with the default accounting journal for expenses paid by employees and the payment method that is allowed for expenses paid by the company, respectively. Among these options, the incoming emails option helps you in making the expenses from the incoming emails. If the first word of the subject of the mail has a category’s internal reference, then the corresponding category gets automatically set.
