Event Tracks
The Major tabs available under the Events module are Tracks, Reporting, and Configuration.
Let us understand the features available in the Tracks Tab. Tracks Tab helps the
users with managing and organizing events using a track. In order to make the event
more successful, different talks and programs can be included in the events using
the Schedule and Tracks option in the Tracks Tab that is available in the Setting
menu of the Events module, as shown below.
On triggering this option in the settings of the Events Module, you will get the
following field on the Event formation window. On triggering the Track Proposal
option, you can comprise the proposals from the externals on publishing a particular
event on the website, as shown in the screenshot below.
On triggering the Showcase Tracks option, the schedule of the event will
be seen in the website page of the event. It includes talks, workshops, or other
programs. You will reach the website page of the event by selecting the Go to Website
option.
On this website page of events, you can see a Talks option below, which you will
get all the released talks in that particular event, as shown in the above image.
Near that option, you have the Talks Proposals option, with which one can send proposals
for the talk of the event.
In the case of creating a project report about an event, then go for this talk proposal
option. There you will be provided with a page to fill out a form, as in the image
shown below. In that form, you have to provide the title of the talks in the provided
space, and give the introduction about the talk in its allocated space as well.
Under the categories space, Audience, Format, and many more. Below that, you have
a Speaker Profile space; you can give the details of the speaker of the particular
talk. Now you can include some details, such as Name, Email, Phone, Picture, Job
Title, and a short Biography in the provided space, as shown in the screenshot below.
On triggering the Contact me through a different email/phone option, you
can easily give the additional email or contact number. After finishing providing
all the necessary details, you can go for the Submit Proposal icon to submit
the talk. In the tracks menu, you will get this submitted proposal; there you can
manage those proposals. This option will be visible only when you trigger the Schedule
and Tracks option in the settings of the Events Module.
Here, you can see the Proposals in the Tracks window from different speakers. In
order to control their progress, you can decide on different stages for the tracks.
On selecting the Add a Column, you can include new stages to the already
configured stages list. With the help of the + icon, you can easily add a new track
to a particular stage that you want. Using the Create icon, you can make
a new track. On clicking the create icon, a window will be provides, as in the image
below.
In this window, give the title for the talk and include an image for the talk that
you are creating in the corresponding spaces at the very beginning. Mention the
Track date, Location of the talk, Duration, and you can give the Youtube Video Link
of your track by which the attendees can easily watch your track. On triggering
the Always Wishlisted option, you can keep the talk as a favorite for those who
are registered for the event. Give the name of the Responsible officer, the Event
name, related Tags, and a tag Color in the provided spaces.
In the Speakers Tab, you can provide the Contact Details, which include Contact,
Contact Email, and Contact Phone. In the Speaker Bio option, you have to provide
the Name, Email, Phone, Job Position, Company Name, and a short Biography of the
particular speaker. You are provided with a space to add the image of the speaker,
as shown in the screenshot below.
In theDescription Tab, you can give a short note of the talk.
And in the Interactivity Tab, you are provided with a Magic option to trigger
in which the attendees will get a Call to Action option when they are watching the
track. On triggering this option, you will be provided another field to provide
the Button Title and Button Target URL. You can decide when the button appears on
the track by mentioning the time. Finally, go for the Save button
Using the Event Gamification option in the settings of the Event module,
you can add a quiz for the attendees after completing the track.
In the track formation window, you will be provided with an Add Quiz option on triggering
this option in the settings, as shown in the image below.
On selecting this option, you will be provided with a window to add the question
as per your need.
First, make a name for the quiz and give it in the provided space. On triggering
the Allow multiple tries option, you can permit the attendees to reset the quiz
if they want to try again. With the help of the Add a Line option, you can give
more questions. Finally, go for the Save button.
Then, in order to publish this on your website, go for the Go to Website
option, as marked in the above image. On selecting the option, a window will appear
where you can make the Unpublished status to Published form. On selecting the Take
the Quiz option, attendees can go for the quiz after completing watching
the track.
In the window, you are even able to check the answer by selecting the Check your
Answers option.
On the main page, you will get the Wishlisted By option that showcases the
list of the visitors who add the tracks to their favorites.
These are the major steps that we follow in creating and controlling the tracks
of the event using the Events Module provided by the Odoo ERP Software.
