Unbuild Orders
You can convert a finished product into its components through the unbuilding process. In a manufacturing company, there may be certain situations that lead to the separation of components of a particular product. In such cases, you have to create and keep a document of the unbuilding process. In the Odoo Manufacturing module, you will be able to find an effective platform to create and manage Unbuilding Orders.
You can create Unbuilding Orders for products created by your company as well as received from other companies. From the Operations menu of the Manufacturing module, you can find the option for Unbuild Orders. The window will display all Unbuild Orders created in this module.
This platform can be viewed in Kanban as well as List view. The preview of the list will show the details about Reference, Product, Bill of Material, Manufacturing Order, Lot/Serial Number, Quantity, Unit of Measures, Company, and Status. You can use the Filters and Group By option for sorting according to your purpose.
Now, click the ‘Create’ button to create a new Unbuild Order. You will get a new Unbuild Order creation window as shown below.
In this window, you can mention the product that you want to unbuild in the Product field. In the Bill of Material field, add the components of the product. Mention the Quantity of the product, Manufacturing Order, Lot/Serial Number, and Company in the respective fields.
You can click the ‘Save’ button to save the new Unbuild Order. After clicking the Save button, you can use the Unbuild button as shown in the image below to confirm the draft of the Unbuild Order.
This is how we create Unbuild Orders in the Manufacturing module and you can use the ‘Edit’ option whenever you want to make changes in the available data.
