Future Holding is one of the leading companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain which mainly focuses on premium and high-quality Indoor & Outdoor Lighting, Exhaust Fans, Switches & Sockets, Lamps, LED Strips & Aluminum Profiles, Emergency Lighting, and many more. The company started its business by providing consultancies, turnkey solutions, and services in electrical energy conservation. They established their business in Muharraq City - Bahrain, Riffa City, and Riyadh.
An established company with 6 branches along with one acting as the headquarters Future holding is a developing establishment that is striving towards excellence in the Lighting solution Industry. Further, they also function as a consultancy providing their employees for their client thus allowing their employees to work for the client from the client's facility.
Reaching the bottom with their previous ERP- The challenge
Future Holding has been dependent on an ERP tool for many years; however, the ERP tool that they had been using in the initial years couldn't address their requirements.
What were the challenges that Future Holding had with the previous ERP?
- Ineffective multi-company management, functioning from six branches and one acting as the headquarters.
- Another key issue that they had to face with the previous ERP is payroll management.
- Another aspect was that of the sales management along with the management of the remote working employees.
- Along with the lack of an effective document management module for the missing and storage of other related documents their operations were disrupted.
How did Future holdings manage the operations with previous ERP?
- All the financial management operations of the entire branches were configured to run from the headquarters branch except on the acceptance of customer payments
- Being a consultancy service provider, where their employees work in other companies, their ERP has to be equipped with an effective payroll management system for their employees.
- Due to the impact of the pandemic all the sale operations were turned out to be virtual and that too remotely, the previous ERP that they had lacked in the operations capability and support providing tools for remote working.

Once we obtained the go signal from Future holding we started developing the platform as per their operational needs. Customization of about 15 % on the Odoo platform allowed us to craft and develop a solution for Future holdings.
